Lance Soskin's legal practice focuses on employment law and commercial contract law representing, advising, and advocating on behalf of small businesses, independent contractors and employees. Lance, the principal lawyer and founder of Contracts, Law & More, is a business lawyer in the true sense of the word "business".
What distinguishes him from the vast majority of practicing lawyers are many years of hands-on business experience working in small businesses and an online tech startup that he founded. He understands what it takes to start and run a small business - the management team needs to stay focused on their customers and leave the 'lawyering' to the lawyers.
Lance's clients rely on him to take care of their legal needs so that they can focus on what they do best. This means making sure their business contracts and employment contracts are legally sound and protect their interests. He understand that a lawyer's role is to facilitate clients' deals with their customers, partners and investors - not to create road blocks.
By engaging our services, you will be placing your legal affairs in capable hands. Lance graduated with the third-highest GPA in the MBA from the Schulich School of Business, and near the top of his class at Osgoode Hall Law School. He started his legal career working for Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt in Toronto and subsequently worked as an investment banker on both Bay Street and Wall Street. Forsaking big corporate culture, he later became a managing partner of a boutique commercial law firm and also founded a tech startup.
Lance is licensed with the Law Society of Ontario to practice law.
