About Lance Soskin

Toronto business contracts lawyer - Lance Soskin
My legal practice focuses on commercial contract law representing, advising, and advocating on behalf of small businesses and tech startups. I am a business lawyer in the true sense of the word "business".

What distinguishes me from the vast majority of practicing lawyers are my years of hands-on business experience working in small businesses and an online tech startup that I founded. I am fully aware of what it takes to start and run a small business - the management team needs to stay focused on their customers and leave the 'lawyering' to the lawyers.

My clients rely on me to take care of their legal needs so that they can focus on what they do best. This means making sure their business contracts are legally sound and protect their interests. I understand that my role is to facilitate my clients' deals with their customers, partners and investors - not to create road blocks.

By engaging my services, you will be placing your legal affairs in capable hands. I graduated with the third-highest GPA in the MBA from the Schulich School of Business, and near the top of my class at Osgoode Hall Law School. I started my legal career working for Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt in Toronto and subsequently worked as an investment banker on both Bay Street and Wall Street. Forsaking big corporate culture, I later became a managing partner of a boutique commercial law firm and also founded a tech startup.

I am licensed with the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario) to practice law.
